Summary: We got age ranges from late 60's- 17 year old to broaden our results. 19 people said they wear headphones and 1 person said they didn't wear headphones. Rating their experience with their headphones most said their experience was great. Some said it was ok, fantastic, or awful. Some described how they hated wires, or they were loose. When asked if they prefer headphones over earphones, the results were 11 saying no and 9 saying yes. On average people wore their headphones between 30 mins to 2 hrs in a week, 4-7 hrs in a week, 24-48 hrs in a week, and some said not at all. When asked if they would like us to fix the falling of the headphones 17 people said yes and 3 people said no. Asking about Concepts 7 people like concept 1. People say they like this design because of the look, it's simple, easy to use, it works, and it's comfortable. Others said they didn't like it because they don't see how it helps, very restrictive, only for certain people, not appealing, and they didn't want a strap. 9 people said they like Concept 2. Saying they liked this design because it goes around their entire head, works better for bald people, flexible for different headphone types, simple, comfortable, and that it was stable. People said they didn't like this design because it seems complicated, that it seems too tight, looks aren't appealing, different hair types such as thick, and difficult to use. 4 people said they like Concept 3. People stated they liked this design because it is like a girls headband and they wear them, they think it would be helpful, comfortable if designed with silicone, and that it is creative. Others said they did not like this design because it might tangle hair, wouldn't work for people without hair, uncomfortable, and may hurt the head. The biggest reason was most people didn't want it to pull their hair or they did not have any hair. When asked if they would buy this product 17 people said they would maybe/probably buy this product, 1 said they definitely would, and two said probably not or definitely not.
Final Design
We are going to use a fabric sports band and make it able to change width by using Velcro and a loop. Almost as in the knee brace type where you put the loop and Velcro to the back of the sports band. This will be a max width of five inches on the end of the Velcro to the opposite side. There is a plastic piece that joins the fabric so that it maintains the structure and holds it together as in the "glue". Max stretch up to 14 1/2 inches.
