Interview One: Mr. Becker |
Mr. Paul M Becker is a teacher at Pocomoke High School. He teaches Communication Arts, Foundation of Technology, Advanced Design, and Issues & Impacts of Technology throughout the school year.
Mr. Becker served in the army, was a Biomedical Technology Technician, went to Salisbury University, taught at Chincotegue, and was a summer park ranger at Shad landing before teaching at Pocomoke High School. Mr. Becker has been through many things in life, and I thought him a reliable source to interview being that he sees many issues arrive in a classroom with technology. He said that engineering could help him in a software based way. By having any type of phone or iPad be able to sync with any app so that students can be collaborative. Ex.: Imovie would be able to sync with a student that has a Samsung and a student that has an Apple. So that these students can combine their work onto one project. |
Interview 2: Mrs. CreeseInterview 3: Mr. Tom |
Mrs. Charlene Creese (formally Matthews) is Pocomoke High Schools Counselor. She went to school at Salisbury University for a Bachelor of Communication, Masters in School Counseling at UMES, Assistant Registrar and Veteran's Affairs Coordinator at SU, School consular at Bennett Middle and Parkside. She is a part of Crisis Response Team, Maryland State Counselor of the year top 3 finalist in 2012, and certified as an ACE specialist (adverse childhood experiences).
I choose her because she has many dealings in life with different areas. She is a coach at Pocomoke and a runner. So she is a different advocate for many things. She suggested a running jacket that could adhere to rain, and heat or cool you without extra layers. |
Mr. Tom Copenhaver works as a First mate in sport fishing boats, Firefighter/Paramedic, and Tow Boat Captain. He grew up in Ocean City and went to Paramedic School before his current jobs.
Tom has been in many job areas, and I figured he could give me insight on being a firefighter and life on a boat. Thinking that I could get ideas from different problems in his life. 1. His first suggestion is having an integrated system to show psi or ft lbs of torque on tow lines . 2. His second suggestion was helping with storage and ergonomics, by being able to utilize as much dead space as possible. While also being able to seamlessly swap out gear and equipment. |
